Routine Dental Extractions

If a tooth is badly infected, decayed, broken or otherwise traumatised, extraction may be a treatment option. As dentists, we prefer to save your teeth, but sometimes an extraction is the solution that works best for you. These are performed in our rooms under local anaesthetic.

Following a tooth extraction, your dentist will give you instructions on how to care for the wound at home, as well as treatment options for replacing the lost tooth if appropriate. It's quite normal to feel nervous about getting a tooth removed, but rest assured, our gentle dentists can perform this procedure with minimal discomfort. If you are particularly anxious, we have extra aids such as nitrous oxide or other anxiolytics to help you through any anxiety. If you would like to find out more, phone us on 3632 8100 or book online now.
