Dental treatment does not have to be expensive, and can always be planned out in stages. Some of our new patients have conveyed to us a fear of unknown expenses when visiting the dentist. At North Brisbane Dental Clinic, all treatment is quoted in writing prior to commencing. Treatment quotes are printed out with an explanation of treatment to be provided, as well as item codes that correspond to health fund benefits if applicable. We stick by our fixed price quotes every single time.

Payment Plans

We understand that sometimes the cost of dental treatment can seem overwhelming. For this reason, we have partnered with Medipay, who offer dental payment plans. Once you've received your treatment plan from you dentist, outlining all costs involved, simply contact medipay, and they'll take care of the rest. For more information, follow this link

The bulk of dental treatment is not able to be bulk billed. There is, however, one exception. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule enables eligible children between ages 2 - 17 to claim up to $1000 of dental treatment over a 2 year period. At North Brisbane Dental Clinic, our dentist will bulk bill this treatment. To find out if your child is eligible for bulk billing, visit

Health Funds

If you have private health cover, including extras, your health fund will pay part or all of your dental bill. We have a hicaps machine, so at the end of your treatment, your health fund benefit is processed first, then you pay whatever amount is left over. If you’d like to know in advance how much you will be out of pocket, just take your fixed price quote to your health fund for confirmation of benefit amounts. North Brisbane Dental Clinic accepts benefits from all standard health funds in Australia. A list of private health funds with dental benefits is below:

Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)

North Brisbane Dental Clinic accepts all Veteran’s Affairs cards. If you have a DVA gold card, there is virtually no limit on the dental treatment available to you with no out of pocket expense. If you have a DVA white card, most dental treatment is available, but permission needs to be sought from Veteran’s Affairs first. Your dentist can organise the appropriate forms to submit in order to make this happen.

Public Trustee

If a patient is not mentally capable of making their own financial decisions, a public trustee is appointed to manage their spending. In these situations, we submit a treatment plan to the Public Trustee and if it is approved, are paid by them directly after treatment is completed.
