 Porcelain Bridge

A traditional bridge is a porcelain restoration anchored to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth. It is a single unit with at least 3 teeth shapes fabricated. It fits closely over the gum in order for it to appear natural.

A resin (or direct) bridge consist of a prosthetic tooth made entirely of resin (filling material) that adheres to the teeth either side of the missing tooth. It achieves an excellent cosmetic result, but cannot withstand heavy biting forces.
